Lacunes d'extraction
- Risk carrier: the contract text refers throughout to “the Insurer” and never states, at a verb, who bears the risk. The only complete company name in the document is in the imprint block on the last page: “Foyer Global Health S.A.”, Registered Office L-3372 Leudelange, 12, rue Léon Laval, Luxembourg, Commercial Register (R.C.S. Luxembourg): B 134.471, VAT LU22284578 (page 23). That block is an imprint (registered office, contact details, registration numbers) and does not expressly state risk-bearing; it was read back on a render of page 23. The insurer_slug given in the task (foyer-global-health) was kept unchanged; there is no divergence between the document and the task metadata, but the document itself leaves the carrier unstated.
- Prevailing language: the document states in 1.1 (page 3) that “The English version of all relevant literature and documentation shall prevail over any other language or translation.” This file is that English version. It was extracted solely from its own text; nothing was completed from any other language version.
- edition_date: the document prints no explicit edition date. The document code “GH_JOY_ST_SC_25.11” at the foot of the last page has been recorded in
reference; the document does not say that its 25.11 suffix is a date, so edition_date is left null. - target_audience: null. Section 1.2 describes who is eligible for cover (individuals living, travelling or working outside their Home Country on a temporary basis, staying abroad for at least 3 months) but does not say which category of buyer the product is sold to; it names only “the Policyholder” and “the Insured Persons”. The wording is in target_audience_note.
- Scopes of Benefits 3.5 to 3.9: membership of the Plan Short column is not in the text layer. The “Short” column carries vector drawings of 11.3 × 11.3 pt (a tick inside a dark disc, fill RGB 0.182/0.129/0.074) at abscissa x0 = 405.5 pt, which produce no text. Marks were assigned to rows by ordinate. The arithmetic closes on this document: 29 cells (1 row in 3.5, 14 in 3.6, 5 in 3.7, 8 in 3.8, 1 in 3.9) = 27 ticks (14 on page 7, 12 on page 8, 1 on page 9) + 2 rows carrying an amount instead of a tick (Overall Limit per Policy Period on page 7, Maximum Outpatient Limit on page 8) + 0 empty cells. No row is therefore excluded, and is_optional is false for every coverage. This finding comes from the graphics layer, cannot be quoted, and is recorded in the structured fields only.
- Column-order control (negative result, performed on this document): the body text is single-column and is emitted in printed order; in the benefit tables the row label (x = 62.5 pt) is emitted before the value or tick column (x = 302–405 pt). No column reversal and no line-by-line interleaving were found.
- Text-layer control: all 23 pages were re-extracted with page.get_text("text") from the source file (data/lu/pdfs/foyer-global-health/sante/journey-short-conditions-speciales-ee91b526.pdf) and match the task text character for character; the text was not truncated. No ligature loss, no Private Use Area glyphs, no zero-width spaces and no NFD combining characters were found; the document contains 29 en dashes (U+2013), 24 thin spaces (U+2009) and 19 curly apostrophes. All quotes are programmatic slices of a single page; none crosses a page boundary.
- Page numbering: every citation is the PDF page. The printed folio (“Page N of 23”) equals the PDF page number on this document, checked against the running heads of pages 2 to 22; there is no offset.
- Divergences between the scope-of-Benefits tables and the detailed descriptions, recorded uncorrected: table page 7 “Therapeutic aids and appliances” against the heading on page 10 “Therapeutic aids and appliances within the framework of inpatient Treatment”; table page 8 “Chemotherapy, oncological Drugs and Treatment (e.g. for Cancer patients)” against the heading on page 12 “Cancer Treatment, oncological Drugs and Treatment”; table page 8 “24-hour phone and e-mail service with experienced counsellors, own Doctors and specialists” against the heading on page 12 without the word “own”; table page 8 “Support and information by our medical service (Second Opinion, monitoring of the course of the illness)” against the heading on page 13 “Support and information, including Second Opinion”. The coverage names follow the tables.
- Apparent typographical errors in the source, kept as printed: “self-inflected injuries” (page 16); “eight-teen” for eighteen (pages 11 and 14); “a Geographical Area different for the one agreed” (page 4); “names and addresses of multilingual Doctors )” with a space before the closing bracket (page 8); “The Insurer will not reimburse Expenses for eyeglass, frames and lenses” (page 19).
- prescription_period: null. The document contains no limitation period; it expressly refers to the General Conditions of Insurance for further grounds of termination, and to the Insurance Certificate and Particular Conditions for the dates and agreed options. Those documents are not part of this file, so the claim-notification deadlines, the cancellation procedure and the limitation period could not be extracted.
- The Telemedicine benefit is conditioned in this document on the Insured Person having “given consent for the processing of personal data” (page 14), in addition to being aged 18 and above and actively covered.
- No premium amount, rate or tariff is stated; only the two statements on the premium effect of a change of Geographical Area and on the non-refund of premiums already paid are recorded.
- This document is the Special Conditions of Plan Short. It repeatedly refers to the General Conditions of Insurance (including its Glossary), to the Particular Conditions and to the Insurance Certificate. is_extension is set to false because the document is not an option or rider but the plan-level conditions of the product Journey.
- In the scope of Benefits 3.9 (Additional Assistance Benefits), Plan Short shows a single row (Telemedicine); no other row is printed on page 9.
