Résumé

Insurance product information document (IPID) for the insurance attached to the MILES & MORE LUXAIR VISA BUSINESS credit cards issued by SPUERKEESS, distributed under the LALUX Assurances brand. Insured persons benefit from a range of insurance cover when travelling; the insured persons are the holder of a valid credit card issued by SPUERKEESS, the spouse/partner and children under 25. The document splits the cover into Non-Assistance cover (accident while travelling, cancellation/interruption of a trip, luggage, flight delay or extension of stay, missed departure, exemption from the rental vehicle / e-mobility excess) and Assistance cover (in the event of illness or death, cash emergency). The cover is valid worldwide, takes effect on the date the payment card becomes effective and terminates ipso jure on non-renewal or withdrawal of the card.

  • "ify the Company of all hospital treatment within three days by calling (+352) 42 64 64 844 or sending an e-mail toassistance@dkv.lu." Both confirmed on a render of page 2.] (Within three days · Failing this, the Company is not obliged to reimburse the treatment. If the Company receives information about the hospitalisation at a later date, it is obliged to grant the benefit only from the day on which it became aware of the hospitalisation.) p. 2

Conditions particulières

  • This document is not personalised according to your specific needs and the information and obligations provided in this document are not exhaustive. For full information on the rights and obligations of the insurance company and the insured person, please refer to the general and/or special conditions relating to the insurance product chosen. p. 1
  • "Non-exhaustive list" is printed at the foot of the "What is not covered ?" box; "Liste non exhaustive" is printed at the foot of the French "Y a-t-il des exclusions à la couverture ?" box. p. 1
  • The document names three parties besides the brand: WillisTowers Watson Luxembourg S.A. (also printed "Willis Towers Watson Luxembourg S.A." in the same paragraph), which receives the claims and forwards them; the Compensation Department of LA LUXEMBOURGEOISE, to which they are forwarded; and the assistance contact (+352) 42 64 64 844 / assistance@dkv.lu. p. 2

Lacunes d'extraction

  • Risk carrier not formally identified. The header band prints only the brand "LALUX Assurances – product: MILES & MORE LUXAIR VISA BUSINESS credit cards" and the body says "the Company". Page 2 does name an entity — "the Compensation Department of LA LUXEMBOURGEOISE" — which is not the name of the life entity (LA LUXEMBOURGEOISE-VIE S.A., B 31036), but it is printed without a legal form and without an R.C.S. number, and it is named as the recipient of forwarded claims rather than as the insurer. Recorded as printed; no entity has been selected. lalux operates two authorised entities (LA LUXEMBOURGEOISE S.A., non-life, B 31035 and LA LUXEMBOURGEOISE-VIE S.A., life, B 31036). insurer_name carries the slug supplied in the task metadata and is not a reading of the document.
  • DKV Luxembourg appears only as the assistance e-mail address (assistance@dkv.lu) alongside the telephone number (+352) 42 64 64 844. It is an assistance contact, not a stated carrier, and has not been recorded as one.
  • Two further third parties are named and are not carriers: SPUERKEESS, the issuer of the credit card, and WillisTowers Watson Luxembourg S.A., which receives claims and forwards them. The latter is printed twice in the same paragraph with two different spellings — "WillisTowers Watson Luxembourg S.A." (no space) and "Willis Towers Watson Luxembourg S.A." (with space). Both confirmed on a render of page 2; neither has been normalised.
  • The mandatory IPID section "When and how do I pay?" is entirely absent from the document. Verified on a 4x render of both pages: page 2 runs "Where does the cover apply ?", "What are my obligations ?", "How do I cancel the contract ?" and then stops, with the lower third of the page blank. premium is therefore null: the document says nothing about premium, payment or indexation.
  • There is also no "When does the cover start and end?" heading. The start and end of cover are printed inside the "How do I cancel the contract ?" box ("Cover under this contract takes effect on the date on which the insured person's payment card becomes effective" / "Cover is immediately terminated ipso jure..."), and have been recorded in duration_and_cancellation.
  • Mixed-language defect, preserved. This document is written in English but its restrictions box is printed entirely in French: the heading "Y a-t-il des exclusions à la couverture ?", the sub-heading "HORS ASSISTANCE et ASSISTANCE :", the two restrictions and the closing "Liste non exhaustive". Confirmed on a render of page 1. The French text has been recorded verbatim and has NOT been translated into the document's own language; translating it would put words in the document that it does not contain.
  • Editorial defect preserved: page 2 prints "ify the Company of all hospital treatment within three days" — the verb "Notify" is truncated to "ify". Confirmed on a 4x render. Not repaired; the structured field carries the printed form with the reading noted.
  • Editorial defects preserved: "sending an e-mail toassistance@dkv.lu" (missing space before the address), "the credit crd number" (for "card"), "The insured person has certain obligations" (double space) and "FLIGHT DELAY AND / OR EXTENSION OF STAY IF BLOCKED" (double space after FLIGHT). All confirmed on the renders.
  • Probable translation defect, left as printed and not repaired: the luggage cover is headed "FLIGHT, LOSS AND DELAY OF LUGGAGE". The French sibling products in this library head the same cover "Vol, perte et retard des bagages", where "vol" means theft as well as flight. Recording "THEFT" here would put a word in this document that it does not print, so the English heading stands as it is; the observation is confined to this note.
  • A guarantee named in the document is missing from the document's own list of cover: "the delivery guarantee of goods purchased on the Internet" appears only under "Where does the cover apply ?", where its territorial scope is described, and nowhere under "What is covered by the insurance ?". It has been recorded as a coverage because the document calls it a guarantee and states its scope, with its description limited to what is actually printed. Nothing else about it — no limit, no condition, no definition — is stated.
  • is_optional left null on all nine coverages. The document splits the cover into "NON-ASSISTANCE COVER" and "ASSISTANCE COVER" but never says whether either block, or any individual item, is included by default or bought separately; the title "Assistance and Non-Assistance cover" suggests both are present on this card without stating it.
  • No amount, limit, sub-limit, deductible or waiting period is printed anywhere in the document. The only figures are the 30% minimum share of the trip cost to be paid by card, the 91-consecutive-day trip limit, the 30-working-day claim reporting deadline, the three-day hospitalisation notification deadline, the 30-day document deadline, the age limit of 25 for insured children and the assistance telephone number. deductibles, prescription_period and premium are null and waiting_periods is empty.
  • The document carries no edition date, version code or year, on either page. Verified on the renders of both pages; edition_date is null and nothing has been promoted from the file name.
  • The prompt text was not truncated. It was checked character for character against a local re-extraction of the source PDF (data/lu/pdfs/lalux/voyage/62378kb-1a8039c0.pdf, sha256 18d642d795cc…) using the same page.get_text("text") call as the harness: both pages match exactly.
  • Character traps respected in the quotes: 24 thin spaces (U+2009) sit before the "?", ":" and ";" characters throughout, and two more surround the slash in "EXEMPTION FROM THE RENTAL VEHICLE / E-MOBILITY EXCESS"; there are also en dashes (U+2013) in the title and the product line and U+2022 bullets isolated on their own lines. Structured fields carry the rendered form, quotes carry the text layer verbatim. All quotes were sliced programmatically as exact spans of the cited page and none crosses a [page N] marker.
